By the time issue 3 rolled around, I finally had a full-time design job (mostly a case of luck, right place, right time) and no longer needed comics to be an income or a potential escape. It certainly freed me up creatively and took a ton of pressure off. I was also consciously aware of issue 2’s darker tone, creating an inconsistency between the first two issues. I wanted issue three to try and balance that out a bit.
