22 pages seems like an odd number for a comic, right? Well, I knew printers required your comic to be a multiple of four pages. I also knew I had to factor in the covers. I stupidly said “Okay, so 22 internal pages, one front cover, one back cover – that’s 24!” I completely forgot there’d be an inside front and inside back cover! That left me with 26 pages unless I wanted to print story pages on the inside front and inside back covers. In the end, I created some artwork for the insides of the covers to bring me up to 28. It increased my print costs and could have been entirely avoided if I’d engaged with my printer much earlier.
